Cacao Ceremony
Within an intentional cacao ceremony, you are supported to recognize limiting beliefs and outdated patterns, but more importantly explore ways to expand your life. With the help of cacao your heart is invited to open and release energetic blockages that keep you from living a life you are deeply aligned with. Sometimes a cacao ceremony can lead to making profound changes in the way we live often through simple insights.
Darcy will weave in gentle movement and together we’ll play with various forms of expression (writing, intuitive sketching, abstract painting, just fun ways to explore the self).
Jessica carefully sources the cacao she uses for the ceremony, prioritizing sustainability of local Guatemalan farms, single source origin, and direct trade with local families. She then ensures it is prepared with love, singing and dancing as she cooks the cacao medicine. Because the energy that goes into preparing what we ingest is part of what we digest. In guiding cacao ceremonies, Jessica attends to authenticity. Cultural appropriation is a delicate thread and nearly inevitable when we borrow rituals from cultures that aren’t natively our own. Jessica continues to seek ways to grow in embodying cross-cultural teachings, honoring their lineage, and the ancestors who hold the wisdoms of many healing ways.

For individual dates, we offer three tiers for pricing. Please choose the rate that fits for you. We understand that at different moments in life we have different resources. More about cacao:
Cacao has been used for thousands of years in the Mayan culture of South America for medicinal, spiritual and ceremonial purposes. In Mayan tradition, the word cacao is literally translated as “heart blood.”
Cacao beans contain a psychoactive ingredient called theobromine, which is a bitter alkaloid which has been shown to be mildly stimulating, giving you a burst of energy and improving focus as well as improved memory.
Cacao increases the flow of blood and oxygen to the brain as well as induces the release of endorphins and dopamine, our feel-good hormones. As a result, we are happier and our creativity reaches beautiful states.
Since ancient times cacao has been used as a medicine to heal physical, mental and spiritual illnesses. Cacao has been shown to boost the immune system and lower cholesterol and blood pressure as well as leading to euphoria and deeper spiritual connection.
